Congratulations to President-elect Barack Hussein Obama

I have to say that I was impressed by the tenor of the Obama campaign throughout. This aside from the numerous gaffes made by the bumbling Joe Biden. It was an honorable fight, heavily influenced by the salivating mainstream media, but Barry won it fair and square.

Now comes the reckoning. Can President Obama cash the checks that his mouth wrote for the last 22 months? Time will tell, but it is time to put the partisanship aside and celebrate our democracy. We have a new President to support. We have seen what happens when we allow negativity and hatred for a sitting President boil over. It offers him free reign because he knows in the eyes of most of the country, he can do nothing right anyway.

This election was a win for one side's ideology, but that doesn't mean conservatism will fade away. It is our time to wait it out. The wrong thing to do now is panic, throw in the towel, or otherwise lash out in despair and anxiety. Let us make the best of it and seek our opportunities to shine the light on the things we hold dear while putting on a brave and respectable face to our brothers on the other side of the aisle.
